Dr. Goth has had an outstanding 40+ year career in Emergency Medicine. He is well-known and respected throughout the state of Maine for his numerous achievements in clinical emergency medicine, hospital leadership, medical training, transport medicine, and wilderness medicine. He is the founder of Wilderness Medical Associates, and he has been an icon in revolutionizing transport medicine and prehospital care. He has served as medical director for multiple emergency departments, served for many years as regional EMS director and was part of the group who created the first ever Maine state EMS protocols. He has extensive experience as a medical guide for Mt. Kilimanjaro, and has created clinical guidelines for the National Park Service, Mountain Rescue Services, and the FBI. He currently lives at Springtide Farm raising cashmere goats and horses.
